I struggle with meal planning. A large part of it is that I don’t really like doing “big” grocery shopping trips to start with. So, I’ve gone back to my old standby – peapod. It is SO much easier to plan around what is on sale, and I can just keep adding to the list throughout the week. And they deliver!
Sure, there are some things they don’t carry, and there will always be those trips to the market for one or two things, or something special, but that is still easier than trying to muck through a grocery store and get a week or two of food and try to plan on the fly around what is on sale.
Their meats almost all come cryovac’d, and honestly, they do a better job of picking out produce than I do. Their specials section is easy to navigate and makes it a breeze to make the decisions of “what will be on tap this week.” That and I don’t have to haul the heavy stuff – always a bonus.
They’ll be delivering this evening and upcoming culinary events (all on sale!) will include steaks, porkchops, salmon, smoked salmon pinwheels, kielbasa, and a swing at sweet potato french fries. I’m finally getting my head back in the game since I’ve been out of town, and tomorrow it’s time to get back into Superwoman mode. :)
